The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has launched a platform for offering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that is popularly known as SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active learning for Young Aspiring Minds). NCERT is offering such online courses for classes XI and XII in various subject areas through SWAYAM portal and mobile app and running it in different cycles. In the fourteenth cycle, NCERT is offering 28 online courses for classes XI and XII across 11 subject areas (Accountancy, Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, English and Sociology) from October 16 2024 to March 25, 2025.
Important dates for these courses are as follows:
Course Enrolment & Course Start Date: October 16, 2024
Course Enrolment End Date: March 1, 2025
Course End Date: March 25, 2025
Exam Registration Date: March 21 - 22, 2025
Final Exam Date: March 24 - 25, 2025
These online courses can support and enrich the learning of the students in a virtual mode. Teachers and parents can also participate in these courses to understand the ways of approaching the content and subjects. Hence, it is requested to share this information with all school teachers, students, teacher educators (including Boards of school education), preservice teachers in Teacher Education Institutions(TEIs), and other stakeholders in the states/UTs/autonomous organizations and encourage every stakeholder to enroll in these courses and take the benefit through it.
